Scarecrow Man
I just got my Linux machine on the network. I am running a Windows box upstairs, and a Linux box downstairs. Windows connects via a 56k modem, and ICS is enabled.I set Linux as DHCP, plug into a cross-over cable and voila! Can I use a hub, or router? and can I use file/printer sharing? scuzzman
You'll want a switch, not a router. You can use a hub, but your network will be less stable. Then yes, configure Samba, get Linux drivers for your printer, and you're all set!
