CurlyWhirly Posted August 12, 2005 Report Share Posted August 12, 2005 After seeing this thread it got me thinking!I have configured Internet Explorer to block all '3rd party cookies' but what is to stop the cookie from pretending to be a 'first party cookie' and therefore fooling Internet Explorer into allowing it on to your PC? It could be possible to "fool" IE into making a cookie, but because IE makes the cookies, it would make it for the originating site, and not the one in question thus making the cookie useless?Either way, running CCleaner will rid you of any unwanted cookies.
