-pops-
Yesterday, I received a notification that there was an update for Firefox. Clicking for more information, I was told that a Google toolbar was available. Now, I already have the Google toolbar but (it being late at night and me being tired) I clicked on it thinking it was an update to that.It didn't seem to make any difference. When I switched on this morning and tried to open Firefox it just sat there with the cursor blinking and the hourglass doing likewise but no Firefox would open. Other programs opened OK but the blinking cursor and hourglass remained on everything I opened - which was rather irritating. I shut down and restarted thinking it was a blip in the machine - same thing.Anyway, after much fiddling and faffing around, I did a System Restore to before I downloaded the update and things now seem back to normal. So, a reminder to set a restore point before updating anything and if it's a biggie, do a backup - and be careful about this Firefox update.
