prctr
Is anyone out there familiar with Asus Pundit machines, in particular the AB-P 2600?I just built it, (which is to say, popped a hard drive in it, along with a stick of RAM), and I was off to the races. After approx. one week of normal operation, I turned it on and ran PC Wizard 2005, which reported the mainboard temps at 137 degrees CELSIUS. Aaaargh. Needless to mention, I turned it off. No "hot" smell or smoke noted. SiSoftSandra also picked up the excessive temperature. The CPU fan is working fine, and the power supply fan is also running. There appear to be no other fans in this "book size barebones system."Hadn't even installed all my software before the thing started in.......any suggestions as to why the sudden leap in mainboard temperature would be, as always, greatly appreciated.Hope you have all been well !!! :)

prctr
Thanks for the responses, folks.I agree that is MUST be a mistake in the sensor. (Thanks for the link, Boris!)I plan to turn it on and leave it on. I think that will reveal to me if the temps are too high, eh?

Scarecrow Man
Also make sure this is not being misread as 137 degrees fahrenheit. which is normal.
