cohrt
Laptops have special problems keeping working temperatures low enough.Too high temperatures in extreme cases means immediately destruction by explosive fire.Otherwise reduction of the longevity of the laptop.Hightened temperature can make the laptop simulate virus- or spywareattack. The support of the laptop should always be a hard object (no textiles). Try the experience of taking your laptop to bed. Hard objects conduct heat better away.If you have a processor generating much heat as Intel 4 pentium you need a cooling pad made of aluminium with preferrably 2 ventilators. Because of the tilting of the support better working position. The supporttilting create increased ventilationpossibility, increased air under the laptopbottom. The ventilators are USB fed.Pentium M processors do not create heat the same way.

nellie2
Good advice, thank you very much. Makes you wonder why laptops are called laptops if you aren't supposed to put them on your lap in the first place.
-pops-
Modern CPU devices are fitted with sensors to cause them to shut down in all cases of the temperature rising sufficiently to be a danger to the device itself or to the computer it is contained in.
