pavelow
:ninja: Dear Sirs,I have regretfully backed up data in the wrong direction : you guessed it,copied old data over new data (from an external HDD) - and having realized this in mid-operation cancelled this operation. Is there any way to UNDO such an operation?Do shadow files exist on the HDD?Desperate.Alex.+971 50 2400

Scarecrow Man
Best to contact the developer of your backup software. What software are you using?

Scarecrow Man
What do you mean none? You cannot copy MFT tables using copy/paste, so you are not actually backing up your system. Are you using the copy/paste method? If so, chances are you're lost. Best to start using actual backup software. I recomend AcronisThe only thing I can think of is System Restore? or some sort of recovery software?http://www.softwarepatch.com/software/filerecovery.htmlhttp://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/
