statikal
Hello everybody, I really need your expertise on this one! Ok, I am currently running win/XP home edition and using win media player 10 to transfer my mp3's to my player. On my old flash player I was able to download songs to my player just fine for a while, but then something acted up and after I was done Synchronizing my songs to my player I would unplug it after it was safe to do so and my player would show that there were no songs on it. I then assumed that it was just the player and since I hadnt registered it i just gave up on it all together. Well now I have purchased a creative zen micro 5GB drive player and am having the same exact problem, I sync the songs/I unplug when i am supposed to/and it shows that there are no songs to be play on my device. And what's even weirder is that when I plug my player back in and search for media on it's drive all of my songs are there! Can somebody please help me I am so frustrated, I know that there is nothing wrong with my devices and it must be my comp, so what can I do? Thank you guys.
benb
Don't know if this will help, but have you downloaded the latest firmware for your Zen Micro?http://www.nomadworld.com/downloads/firmwa...e%20Zen%20MicroAlso, are the songs readable on the device if you drag and drop the files onto the Zen's drive?Found this on that link:PlaysForSure devices enable you to: * Use subscription-based online music services * Enjoy seamless support with any computer running Windows Media Player 10 and Windows XP - no drivers or software needed * Drag-and-drop songs or files to your player through Windows Explorer * Use Auto Sync and Windows Media Player 10 playlistsSo if Windows Media Player 10 syncronization doesn't work, there must be something either wrong with your Zen or with your XP...Have you tried Creative tech support? Scarecrow Man
Make sure you use Safely Remove Hardware when unplugging a flash device, or any device that reads and writes from the computer.
benb
I also found this on WikipediaThe Zen Micro optionally supports the Microsoft Media Transfer Protocol and the PlaysForSure certification with updated firmware.More | HereIt seems to state that only with updated firmware does the Zen support PlaysForSure...
