Chris Posted September 10, 2005 Report Share Posted September 10, 2005 Iain McDonald, Microsoft's Managing Director of Windows Server, wanted to impress on people that it was a "great time to be in our camp" and that the software giant has a lot of goodies coming out in the next two years.McDonald was introduced by a deep voiced MC as "our very own Aussie success story... originally from Sydney, now working at Redmond". Impressively McDonald only lapsed into a faux-American accent once or twice.Despite all the advice from the PowerPoint template designers at Redmond, the SQL Server part of the keynote was, um, pretty heavy going.Attendees got a first glimpse at Windows Vista beta 2, with more of the anticipated visual features on show.
