benb Posted September 25, 2005 Report Share Posted September 25, 2005 Randomly, last night, my Firefox icon disappeared from my start menu. It was my default web browser, therefore the space it was using was a generic "Internet". I have tried rebooting (what does this not fix in the windows world! :P ) plus removing and re-adding the icon, as well as setting the icon to Internet Explorer (that worked fine...) and then putting it back to Firefox. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted September 26, 2005 Report Share Posted September 26, 2005 Not everything is as easy to reinstall as Firefox, so if it ever happens again with another application, I'd recommend to download and install the TweakUI PowerToy for Windows XP. benb Posted September 27, 2005 Author Report Share Posted September 27, 2005 Yes, I already have TweakUI :) Does it work for normal apps like FF or only Windows icons such as My Computer, or folders, or the default "no program" icon?
