DNS Is Propagating

Folks,

It seems the DNS is successfully propagating now, as i am able to access the forum via the standard Neo Planet address while using my ISP's cache.

For those of you on Blueyonder Broadband, the webcache is webcache.blueyonder.co.uk port 8080.

If others are able to find a cache relevant to their ISP, please post information so others may use it.

Please note, the address in the address bar will change once you reach the site to the IP address so others withough a cache can still access the site.

Once I can confirm the site is obtainable by the masses, the hard linked IP will be replaced with the Neo Planet domain.

Craig

In Internet Explorer:

Tools--->Internet Options--->Connections Tab--->LAN Settings...

Then under Proxy Server, enter the proxy server address and port number, and check the two boxes under that section.

Just a quick note, some sites dont allow people to connect to them via a proxy, so if you have any problems, just turn it off, or add the site in quesiton to the list of sites not to use a proxy on (found following the above instructions and then clicking advanced button beside port number).

Me puzzled too Andsome, but ain't worried cos the Planet's workin agin and I'm pleased to be back, have access to me webmail facility and all that. Fraid I missed the notice about the Server upgrade so when neo-terra firma disappeared I thought you'd all been attacked by aliens from another planetski!

Well done to Craig and all involved in being so ambitious to go dedicated and ever onward and upward. One day we'll be neogalaxy.co.world ...

It does seem that the DNS is propagating correctly now.

For the time being the forum will stay IP based to allow those who cannot access the forum via the usual URL to connect to it.
