AlanHo
I have used my newly acquired ULead DVD Picture Show V4 to create two photo slide shows on DVD-R discs. The file size is almost 3 Gb and they run perfectly on my computer, my laptop and my home DVD player. I have no reason to believe there is anything wrong with the discs.Friends and relations would like a copy so I tried to copy each disc onto another DVD-R from the same batch using the latest version of Nero which has been fully updated off their web site.Nero throws up the following error message :-There is not enough space to burn this compilation onto this disc. Please insert another disc that provides more spaceData to be written 20.388 GbSpace available on disc 4.489 GbDisc required for the compilation DVD+R/RW DVD-R/RW DVD-RAMThis is clearly wrong because it is not possible to cram 20 Gb onto a DVD and there is indeed a DVD-R in my burnerI have also made a DVD+R Version using ULead which Nero will copy OK. I have not experienced any difficulty in copying other commercial and friends DVD's - just two created by ULead Picture Show on DVD-R discs.Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem. -pops-
Alan, if you're doing a straight disk to disk copy, one of the easiest methods is to use DVD Shrink. OK, it is aimed at shrinking large commercial disks to fit 4·7 GB but it does 1 to 1 copies as well. It's free so there's nothing to lose.Get it from http://www.dvdshrink.org/
dadyassa
DVDshrink burns with Nero, but like you say, I have never had any trouble with it.It looks like Nero is reading off a file " compilation ".Just try to use " copy DVD " in Nero. AlanHo
pops I took your advice and downloaded DVD Shrink. It is not the most straightforward programme to download and install - but worth it - because it did the trick and copied my rogue disc without a problem. Thanks for the advice. -pops-
Alan, after you've used it a couple of times, it comes second nature. I agree it's a bit daunting initially but, it works and best of all, it's free :)
