She had just got back to base with a group that she had just taken on a Walk and Talk walk, when they were waylaid by a BBC reporter and film crew. The local football team drew their away match at the weekend, it was a qualifier to get into the draw for the first round proper of the FA cup. The replay is tonight. The crew interviewed the group for Midlands today on the BBC, part of the Midlands edition of the six o-clock news. There is far too much money in it combined with cynical fouling. Many matches are boring in the extreme, with pretty passing to and fro across the pitch, I believe they call it keeping possession. As this replay last night received such local coverage, and it was the local AMATEURS, we decided to go along and give support. In the event over 2100 turned up compared with a few dozen usually, or at the most a couple of hundred. It was a cracking match, just like football used to be before all the money came along. It was two teams playing their hearts out with one aim. That aim was to WIN. Too many professional matches are played today with the main aim being not to loose. There is a difference. It was a thrill a minute with the local team CHASETOWN, scoring a minute before the end of normal time . A damned good £2 worth of entertainment.
