chegger
Hi,I've recently had need to uninstall and reinstall a PCMCIA Wlan Card Bus from my laptop (its a long story). It had orginally worked but since i've reinstalled the ulity and the drivers again (via the accompaning CD) its not working. When i switch the laptop on the power light on the card flashes but then turns off (it should be on all the time). And when i go into the utility its says: DRIVERS NOT LOADED in the status bar.I've gone through device manager to check its installed ok and its seems to be all there... XP tells me its working properly and the drivers are listed.I'm at a miss to what to do/try next?I've emailed the manufacturer (peakhardware) but they don't understand it either.I'm i missing sometthing silly? or do i need some additional software???Help Appreciated!!!ThanksChris
-pops-
Can you remove the card and all traces of the software from your machine (drivers, utility, everything) reboot and then go through the process of installing the card again from the beginning. This worked for me with a Netgear Wireless device that I was having similar problems with. expertec
So far, in my experience of Wireless adapters, the supplied utilities have been pretty useless and just got in the way.The aforementioned wireless adapters are all working perfectly with just the built in Windows software and the drivers from the manufacturer.:)
