Sir T Fireball
I'm in the market for a new Home Cinema Kit, but it must be able to playback DivX/XviD discs. Does anyone have such a beast and if so, could you let me have some feedback. Hopefully a few of you have one and I'll be able to compare before hitting (hopefully) John Lewis' for their wonderful price-match & 5 year g'tee package :)
Scarecrow Man
I can recomend a PC with Windows Media Center Edititon, and an ATI All-In-Wonder card. With these two things, you can stream video/audio/pictures and more straight to your TV.I do not know of any good DivX players that are stand alone players, but I love Windows Media Center. It is VERY easy to use, and comes with a remote control, so your not stuck at your keyboard.
Sir T Fireball
Thanks, but I want to set it up in my TV room, not my study.I have 2 'stand alone' dvd/divx players already, but am trying to cut out some of the wiring. Redhat
Where I am at the moment, there is an LG Surround Sound system with DivX/XviD features. My eye's are funny at the mo so can't tell you the model number, but it's a nice piece of kit!
