leanmoha
Hi allI'm have a problem with my WLAN.When I connect using a 10/100 Ethernet cable I can link to my router and make changes to its configurations. However, when I unplug the cable and try doing the same with a wireless connection. The connection to the standard Linksys WAG54G configuration page http://192.168.1.1simply times-out and fail to connect. I have protected the WLAN network but I don't understand why this is happening because everything works, internet brousing and all. It just the standard http://192.168.1.1 link that does not work. Also is it normal for the Wireless-g connection to cut-off. I mean it does not do it all the time but when it does cuts off I have to turn the router off and turn it back on after a 60count or so and it works again as normal until it cuts off again. Sir T Fireball
Hi Lean,I'm not sure about your wireless problems, but you can lose connection for a number of different reasons. What is your ISP package? Dial up, ADSL, Cable......who with, what part of the world?..and have you tried www.192.168.2.1 ?
expertec
Hmm... the router address for a Linksys should be 192.168.1.1 unless it's been specifically changed... you can check though.Start > Run > type "cmd" and OK it.At the prompt, type ipconfig /all and press enter. See what is listed there under "Default Gateway".

woodchip
The configuration as to be copied from router and put into laptop wireless software like SSID Password etc. Do not try to Encrypt before you get it to connect
