Its a bare bones system - I have had to install sound - GX and WAN drivers on every installation I have ever done with 2003 server. Discusman Posted February 6, 2006 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2006 Man I have not been playing with my server for a long time (probably one than a year). I forgot what I did to configure this box to run.I don't recall I installed any drivers after I installed Windows 2003 last time. And my box has been running smoothly for almost two years.That's why I am surprise to see Windows 2003 didn't detect the driver for the NIC and other several devices.I didn't find anything on the internet either. I think the SQL 2000 and the Windows 2003 SP1 mess up my box. I even got errors during Windows 2003 installation today. How bazzard that is.. But it can't find driver for them.Man I don't remember what I did last time. I thought Windows 2003 installs drivers for the device. I think I'm getting old. :unsure: so what next? System Information for Windows is a tool that can help you find the exact specification. Then use this to search the Internet. Or if you publish it here, we can help you find the driver.What brand is the server you use? Sometimes the PC maker (e.g. DELL) publish drivers on their support site. Why it didn't do it this time?I'm at work right now and will go home check it out n get back to you later. NIC-Single Embedded Gigabit NIC2. Bus-Front 533Mhz or 800Mhz, chipset-Intel E72213. Unknown-I dont know what device is this oneCan you guys help me find the drivers? Not sure if this is the one, but you can always try to install it -- it cannot make things worse!Found that the Single Embedded Gigabit NIC is actually an Intel 82541. But a search on the Intel download site returned four different results. Try SIW to find what exact NIC you have.The Intel E7221 driver I would recommend downloading directly from the Intel download page.The 3rd, unknown device -- there I cannot help you.
