I just read this email from my pop server....

In line with our continued commitment to excellence we are upgrading your Internet

to inform you that in the near future you will notice a significant improvement in the

service.

Following these changes the monthly subscription for the service will be increasing from

week and maintains our excellent price advantage. You will continue to make savings of up

to £48 a year on your etelecom Internet connection as compared to our main competitors! *

Great news! You can save £12 if you opt to make two payments of £65.94 per year,

equivalent to a monthly subscription of only £10.99 a month. Just click to go to;

So a 'promise' of a better service in return for a 20% price increase..... :(

What can I say, that's economics for you!! In the end though you get what you pay for. However, I don't know what their terms are but I would be very naffed off if I signed up for a 12 month contract at £9.99 pm and then they told me it would be £11.99pm.

Update...

I emailed E-Telecom about the new services/ prices. I asked them if the "improvement in service" meant that users could now spend more time online? And if not could they confirm to me "what an acceptable amount of online time was?"

Thankyou for your email. In line with this price increase I can confirm e-telecom has extended the network access and capacity so that customers will find connection to our Internet service at peak times far easier. Unfortunately we cannot stipulate the amount of hours per day for use of this service.

Why is it that they never tell you what amount of online time is acceptable, until it is too late and they are kicking you off the service??? :angry: :angry: :angry:

I know people who have had letters saying that they are using the service too much. Various numbers have been thrown around in the past - 6/ 8 hours per day seems to crop up alot, but E-Telecom never openly admit to what they accept as acceptable...What are they hiding??? Why is it such an untouchable subject???

I think it may be due to the fact that they still sell their service as "Unlimited", when clearly it is VERY LIMITED !

<_>
