yaip
Let me explain the setup I have. I have PC A (XP Pro) that has a local printer connected to it and I am sharing it. I have PC B (XP Home) where I have defined this as a network printer so that I can print on the same printer. This works fine…until I power down PC B. When I restart it again and want to print, I have to delete the printer and re-create it. This gives me the prompt to login as a user on PC A and then I can print. This tells me that the printer job starts as a service and I can define the user credentials there. This way, I won’t have to delete and re-create the printer each time I reboot. Unfortunately, I don’t know what service it is. Any ideas?
