l_ordsmith
Hi there,I have been having this problem for a few weeks now, ever since I tried to install a webcam, though I don't know if that has anything to do with it. After I ran the installation process, the screen froze and I could do nothing but restart. I have since removed all the drivers/ software related to the webcam. I have also spent a week on the Hijack this forum, and, with the help of one of the advisors, completely cleaned out my system. However, the freezes keep happening. Sometimes I can use the PC for half an hour before it freezes, and sometimes it won't even open, going to the blue screen that says I have a problem with my hard drive. Is there anything I can do short of taking it into a repair shop? Many thanks,Laura
-pops-
Can you tell us the exact message on the blue screen when it freezes. Not the whole screen, of course but the message that appears at the top, together with a set of numbers.
l_ordsmith
Okay, but I may have to wait a while to see it, as it only goes to the blue screen occasionally. It hasn't done so for a couple of days now, most of the time it opens for a while.Laura
