Windmill Posted March 8, 2006 Report Share Posted March 8, 2006 Okay, I only have a 18 GB hardrive and I'm trying to conserve space.... hence, when I find out I'm using 12% of that for system restore, I can't help but wonder if I need that much! Scarecrow Man Posted March 8, 2006 Report Share Posted March 8, 2006 That all depends on how often you use system restore, or if you use 3rd party backup software.If you have an 18GB hard drive, and you are using 12% for system restore, you are using approximatley 2GB for System Restore.If you use 3rd party backup software, you can turn system restore off completley. If you do not, it may be a good idea to leave it enabled.I found this which has some good information on System Restore near the bottom of the page.
