lost serial number

Recommended Posts

It is a condition of supply by Microsoft that all installations of Windows MUST have the Product Key (supplied on a metallised label) attached to the case of the machine in which the specific Windows copy is installed.

If the sticker is not there then you have a good reason to go back to the supplier and demand they solve the problem for you.

(Or you can do it the way dadyassa suggests :) )

I have had the same problem before. I keep all my system discs in a folder, and keep the codes in a document. When i couldn't find my OS code, i did a quick google search, and came up with the Magical Jelly Bean Software (yeah i know) and it seems to work pretty good. the link is: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml
