Its having problems and I want to reinstall the os from scratch. I have the disk but cant seem to locate the serial number. Is there a way to find out the current serial number and reuse it? -pops- Posted March 16, 2006 Report Share Posted March 16, 2006 It is a condition of supply by Microsoft that all installations of Windows MUST have the Product Key (supplied on a metallised label) attached to the case of the machine in which the specific Windows copy is installed.If the sticker is not there then you have a good reason to go back to the supplier and demand they solve the problem for you.(Or you can do it the way dadyassa suggests :) ) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
