balnh Posted April 3, 2006 Report Share Posted April 3, 2006 Was trying to do fresh install of xp, computer was restarting and lost power (after first restart from windows). Now when i try to install computer shuts off completly with set up disc still spinning in drive. I can boot off of hard drive though and load old copy of windows with no problem. When i enter xp setup i'll load sata drivers then start to copy set up files and box will just die. Not sure if it is some sort of hardware issue or what, but thing was fine before i decided to do fresh install. I did new install about 5 months ago.
