kaiser
I've tried disabling Norton and turning off outlook add-ons but just cannot SEND a single email from my outlook. This is driving me nuts. Is there anybody out there with the solution to this problem??? Thanks
-pops-
Has your current setup ever been able to send emails or was it previously working?
Scarecrow Man
Tools > Accounts > your mail accountGo to the servers tab, and make sure 'My server requires authentication' box is checked. Then go into settings and make sure 'use same as incomming' is also checked.
kaiser
Thanks for your response. Yes it has worked but sporadically... now not at all. To fix problem last time reformatted computer. It would sometimes send then not if there was an attachment - so very irregular.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Can you be a little bit more specific about "cannot send". Does Outlook give you an error message, or do the outgoing messages just sit in the Outbox?Do you perhaps have a very large message sitting in the Outbox? If none of the above is true, can you delete your user account, then set it up anew? r4may
If you are using Norton to scan your Emails, you will not be able to send any if you disable Norton without resetting Norton. Ensure that both incoming and outgoing scans are enabled (or disabled) in the Norton setup.OR maybe Norton is corrupted and needs removing and re-installing. This sometimes happens if an update goes wrong.Try the symantec support site :- http://search.symantec.com/custom/reg_eu/t...=18&search.y=
