I want to use the onboard lan as the conection to the internet but I have a wireless card installe and want to use it to enable my laptop to see the internet too. scuzzman Posted June 6, 2006 Report Share Posted June 6, 2006 That's not true. A switch or hub only routes packets, they don't distribute addresses. The device you meant is a router. And, actually, you can simply setup a DHCP server on your XP box by enabling internet connection sharing (ICS).
