One runs Windows 2000 and hosts the home shared directory and the printer, and the other runs XP home edition. I'd like to access my printer from the XP machine, but I keep getting an error about not having access rights to the 2K.I've enabled guest login on the Win 2K machine and set sharing rights on the printer and the shared folder for the "Guests" group. The workgroup on both machines is "WORKGROUP".Using "My Network Places" on the XP machine, I can see both the XP machine and the 2K machine, but am unable to access the 2K machine. On the 2K machine, I am unable to access my workgroup at all.Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After reading the 3 Networking Fundamentals topics in the Networking Board I was able to figure out where I need to do additional changes.Also, in this topic are a few additional links that helped me to complete the task. (Both computers in my home are dual-boot, and one is Windows 2000 - they are all connected now).Come back here if you have more difficulties.
