robsaveslives
thanks, but the driver doesn't do anything for formatting, and there is no software for the reader on the site.is there any other way to format the card using Windows besides FAT? i know with the Macintosh disc utility there are a few options for DOS formatting, but i'm useless when it comes to windows
-pops-
Well, if you are using WNT, W2K or XP you cannot format in MSDOS and have it easily recognised because these operating systems do not use DOS as their engine.

-pops-
Possibly but I'm not sure as it's a long time since I used Windows 9x
