Sorry to disturb you all.I could not open any folder and explorer.exe by double click the folder or right-click 'open' the folder. But, I could open the folder by clicking the button 'Open' in any program (such as Microsoft Word, Firefox and any other software). I also could not open the Control Panel and Search Engine. I got error message ( the message caption is 'Explorer.exe' and its content is showing that a particular address cannot be 'written') everytime I wanna open the folder.I have scanned disk but it showed that there is none bad sector.I have run antivir and it showed that there is none infection but there are warnings that some parts could not be opened.I am using Microsoft Window XP Service Pack 2, Pentium 4.I dont know what is wrong here. It happened suddenly as I didnt change any hardware parts.Can you please give me some recommendations on what should be done? Please, please. Does the problem only occur in certain views (e.g. Thumbnails), but not others (e.g. Details)?If the problem occurs in every Explorer view, then I suspect that you may still have some malware infection. One anti-spyware tool alone may not detect every form of malware, and I therefore still suggest that you do the Ewido online scan.Another thing to try is to scan for missing or damaged system files. Run the system file checker from Start -> Run by typing sfc /scannow - you will need your original Windows disk to perform this operation. sharon_18101989 Posted May 30, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 30, 2006 Hi, Pat Willener, actually i have run the command line sfc /scannow and sfc/scanonce before, I still get the same failure.I could not answer this question as I was not able to open any folder when it happened, so i am not sure it is in thumnail or lists or etc. But, before that I have always sort it by details.i have downloaded the Ewido, thanks, will tell you how I am going. This is something I have never done before (since Windows 98), so I do not really know if I should recommend it.Let's hope someone else here has any more ideas.
