Louis G Posted June 20, 2006 Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 I am using Windows XP Pro version 2002 service pack 2 and the default printer keeps bouncing back to the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer each and every time I turn on my computer.I have to select my default printer each morning before I try to print anything because if I do, it tries to Save As.....Does anyone know how to resolve this so that me default printer is saved on exit ?Thanks,Louis G. andsome Posted June 20, 2006 Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 Try Start/Control Panel/Printers and other hardware/View installed printer/ You should now see an icon of your printer. If there is more than one icon, that is your problem, either you have another printer installed or you have an old installation left on the computer. If this is an old installation it can be deleted, provided the old printer was uninstalled properly. If there is one icon, double click it, than click on Printer and select 'Set as default printer'.
