Boa Constrictor Posted July 4, 2006 Report Share Posted July 4, 2006 I'm "desperate" - I've gotten sooo used to my beautiful Explorer Skin. Can't bear to look at the screen now!Somehow I managed to get rif of Hotbar but keep the Skin nevertheless over a year ago. I have no idea anymore, how I did it, but it was just great. Yesterday I had to notice, I all of a sudden had an updated version of Hotbar on my computer. No clue, how that happened. I uninstalled, but now - much as I had feared - my skin is gone. Are there other explorer-skinning proggies out there, respectively, what do I have to do to install my own picture as skin on the explorer-windows?I know, Windows used to offer one for IE 5, but that doesn't work with 6 :-(. It is a know adware/spyware company.When I heard that I did get rid of it - as I said with some luck I could keep just the picture in the explorer bars without the annoying buttons and extra bar. Maybe someone could advise me, what I did back then in order to achieve that, :P MyIE2 seems to be another browser altogether (?).
