I can't help with the problem, but the wording of the question puzzles me. Namely the one we have to insert when we turn the PC on) You don't have to insert a password unless you want the PC set up that way. Just wondered if you were aware of this.

Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum!

Do you have multiple users on your system - e.g. standard user, and administrator user? If so, login as administrator and reset the user's password.

If you have no way of bringing up your Windows system, then I don't know of any method to retrieve the lost login password.
