jlsilo
I used to have an old emachines c1641 which I frequently used my complete restoration CD called symatec ghost (? I don't know the full name) to restore the computer when it went wrong. But when I got the Dell Dimension E310 recently, I noticed that they didn't send me a free restoration CD like emachines did. Excluding the Windows restoration, where can I find a restoration CD that completely restores my dell computer's settings? Also, if I use my complete restoration CD and restore my computer to its original state, does the virus and spyware before the restoration transfer to the restored computer? Or do the virus disappear when I restore the computer?
-pops-
Welcome to Windows Forum.I don't know a lot specifically about Dell machines but I understand that there is a hidden partition in them that contains all the information needed to re-install Windows.Apart from that, though, what I would recommend is for you to make a backup of the system. There is lots of information in this forum about backing up and I strongly suggest that you get something organised before too long. Have a look click here. :)
