dadyassa
Hi Guys,I have recently got a strange problem and I can`t think why its happened or how to sort it, its not a neccessity at the mo, but maybe when my email box gets loaded.I have a Telefonica.net account,I can access the main page, when I put in my username and password (which is correct I get no error on them) to access my mail, I get an error saying the page is unavailable. This happens with IE or Opera.I have the account set up in both and receive Telefonica mail in both, but the mails are staying in the telefonica site, I cant access them to delete them.Telefonica techies said everything is working fine and they could access my account so it must be my PC ?I thought yeah right, but I tried to access it on my daughters PC and it went straight on no problem at all. What could be the cause of mine not being able to access the mail page ?Both PC`s are on my router, both use XP firewall with same settings and both have XP pro with all the hotfixes, both have same version of IE.TIA John

dadyassa
Maybe this link will help...http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314864Thanks for the link, but I can get to the server and access the homepage, but not the mail page, see attachments :(They show in the wrong order though ;)
cozofdeath
Yeah, but the home page doesn't require an ssl connection, only the mail page. It was just an idea though I didn't get much time to look up anything. But if the router and firewalls are the same on both computers and its only the secure connection to your email that fails it could be ssl or a setting in a browser, but if its two browers its unlikely a setting. Does it happen for any other secure login sites?
dadyassa
Its the only one I have noticed to cause a problem. It always used to work OK, but then I dont use it much cos I get my mail through OE or Opera.I only noticed it cos people sending mails from Hotmail kept getting bounced so I thought I would checkout the site and see what was going on.I sent some to Telefonica account from my Hotmail and they got bounced also. cozofdeath
Humm, that is weird. The only other thing I can think of would be is some sort of setting in your firewall. I'm outta ideas. Anyone else??

dadyassa
:D TrueI had a feeling it may have been one of the recent hotfixes causing it, as when I tried it on hers (without the larest) it worked ok, but then I shut off and it loaded the fixes. I rebooted and it still worked, so not them :(
