Boris
I have a friend whose PC I recently built with a new 300 gig SATA H/D (no IDE H/D) and 2 partitions. It is running fine ..............but now he has apparently installed on it a copy of the Acronis PartitionExpert 2003 software and when he tries to resize the existing partitions with that - he just gets a message when booting saying something like "unable to find disk". He's tried it both from within XP and also booting from the Acronis CD. This 2003 product doesn't appear on the current Acronis site.I've suggested that he should possibly upgrade to the latest Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 ? Has anyone used the Partition Manager module of that to successfully resize the existing partitions on a SATA drive ? Thanks for any assistance !PS re. the above - Windows still works OK - after the "unable" message it just goes on into XP as normal.
nellie2
Sorry Boris... are you asking if anyone has partitioned a SATA drive ok with Disk Director Suit 10.0? I have that program and it sees my SATA drives nicely and I used it to partition my second one! :)
Boris
Excellent nel - that was what I was trying to say If you can partition them with it - presumably you can resize as well.I'll pass the news on :D
