andsome Posted July 26, 2006 Report Share Posted July 26, 2006 You get into safe mode BEFORE the Windows XP window comes up. As soon as the first writing appears on the screen, start tapping F5 or F8, it varies, but on mine both work. You will be offered various startup modes, from where you can select safe mode.
