cozofdeath Posted August 16, 2006 Report Share Posted August 16, 2006 Try a free registry cleaner. They are supposed to fix errors like yours along with many others. They have helped me tremendously. CCleaner is a good free one. Searching google will reveal many more. Are you sure thats the name of the .dll file? If so and the registry cleaner doesn't solve the problem, try opening regedit (Start, run, type regedit) and going to Edit, Find... and type the name of the .dll and search for it. Any found can be deleted. If for some reason you think they shouldn't be post the full path to the key here. mikes1471 Posted August 16, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 16, 2006 Thanks for the suggestion cozofdeath, whilst CCleaner found plenty to occupy itself its not resolved the issue, rather than copy the selection of results produced by the regedit i've attached a screenshot as i'm not fully aware what should be there and what shouldnt? I can't see the full path to it but I'm guessing its in a startup key. Just right click and delete. Also make sure you search and remove any others. This one should remove the error you are getting. Good luck and as always if your worried about screwing something up make a backup, the registry is a dangereous place.Oh and you may want to post your problem or a hijack log in the Hijack This and Spyware Removal Support Forum here so they can further clean your computer.
