E-mail received from own address

I have just seemingly received an e-mail from myself telling me my loan has been approved. I have not opened the mail but looked into properties to see if I recognise the address and suprisingly it is mine, how can that be?

I believe I have read something about this but cannot remember what it said, can anyone enlighten me what I should be doing? Or indeed what I am not doing to protect myself?

Maybe you are going slowly out of your mind, sending yourself e-mails. Have you sent yourself a reply? :D :D :D

I get these as well but mine are normally sorted out by my spam trap or ePrompter.

It's just another way that these devious would-be criminals try to get you to respond to their mails to reveal confidential information about yourself.

In the absence of a spamtrap, can I recommend that you install Mailwasher click here or Eprompter click here so you can check your mail on the server before downloading into your computer and delete anything suspicious.

They can use almost any email address. Its as easy as going here and filling out an email. Many of these sites and open mail relay servers get shutdown after shortly being up because of all the spammers. They're like parasites.
