CJ550
I'm changing my old CD Writer/DVD to a new DVD+CD Writer Combo. I'm going to change it myself is it difficult to do? Will i have to uninstall old drivers first, if so can someone tell me how to do this? thanks

CJ550
thanks for that, those are good instructions. I didnt realize that i could have more than one disc drive. I might just buy a DVD burner. I already have a CD Writer/DVD reader installed. Will the new DVD Burner have conflicts with the CD Writer/DVD reader already installed? thanks

-pops-
I have a machine with three optical drives - a DVD ROM, a CD writer and a DVD writer. It also has four hard drives.Having all this lot does need extra hardware but, I'm saying this to indicate that you aren't restricted as to the number of drives you can have.A standard desktop computer will accommodate 2 hard drives and 2 optical (DVD/CD) drives without modification. No need to worry about installation, WXP will find the devices and install the necessary software for you.
