crossmr Posted August 22, 2006 Report Share Posted August 22, 2006 So I'm having an issue on the machine I use as my media center PC, its just running Xp Pro, but the desktop background keeps disappearing. its chosen, and appears occasionally. Like when I shut down the PC as its closing things down, the background will appear for a couple seconds. I've tried changing it to other backgrounds and no luck.This appears fine if I use the default theme, or reset it to the default theme, but as soon as I choose a new background it works fine until I restart or something else and then it won't show up.thoughts? If so, have you made any changes to your machine e.g. installed new programs?What appears in place of the background?Are there any other user accounts on the machine, if so are they affected in the same way?
