Guest ACCESS Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 whenever I try to open any application in microsoft office,it says installing microsoft office and then the application opens after a while. why do I see such a message in the message box and why does it install every time I open an application in microsoft office. Alexis Blaze Posted August 31, 2006 Report Share Posted August 31, 2006 did it a fresh installation of office? did you delete the temporary installation files?if it is a fresh installation files, sometime office need to install additional files on the run and if you already delete the temporary installation files, it can't find the files needed for installation and will ask for it. I particularly like Publisher, as it serves me very well for making greetings cards. I also use Outlook for all my addresses, and this ties in nicely for envelopes when I use Word for typing letter etc. I am quite happy with it, and see no reason to get rid of it. ~Root~ Posted October 2, 2006 Report Share Posted October 2, 2006 id be careful with locally based Address books.and i agree, microsoft needs to get there head out of the sand.you deleted either by accident or during the install the Pro11.msi cabniet installer, MSoffice requires it to run the program the first few times. they use it for compression (dont ask me why, i thought they were stupid when they preposed it 4 years ago)try openoffice, personally i prefer it any day over Microsofts office. as for Publisher, install it in custom install and junk the rest.(open office - http://openoffice.org) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
