I would like to switch their motherboards (but keep the original CPU and Harddisc) . Would I need to reinstall Windows?Has anyone ever tried it? Scarecrow Man Posted September 15, 2006 Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 You should be able to do it, although be aware that Windows is likely to ask you to activate after the new motherboard is installed.
