-pops- Posted September 19, 2006 Report Share Posted September 19, 2006 It is almost impossible to delete everything except the operating system as there will always be at least remnants of the previous files etc. left behind.The best thing to do to remove everything is to do a complete re-install of Windows but I assume you don't want to, or are unable to, do this.You can remove a lot of added items by using the Add/Remove programs facility in Control Panel but that will still leave files behind which will have to be removed by hand.Avoid using Windows Explorer (I don't mean Internet Explorer) to clear programs etc. out as you can easily remove essential Windows components by doing this.
