I converted my disk into a dynamic disk and now windows wont boot anymore. When I put in the Xp cd and try to repair the installation, I can see the partition but it has no drive letter associated with it. I installed Xp on another partition and tried converting the disk to basic, it didnt work. It comes as disk unreadable. Any advice on how to resolve this issue? At least not without 3rd party software.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309044/After you convert to a dynamic disk, the dynamic volumes cannot be changed back to partitions. You must first delete all dynamic volumes on the disk, and then convert the dynamic disk back to a basic disk. If you want to keep your data, you must first back up or move the data to another volume.I also found this: http://faq.arstechnica.com/link.php?i=1806, with the following warning: "**Disclaimer: This ONLY works if you have NOT used ANY of the "new" features of dynamic disks such as extending a partition or software RAID.
