AkumaKnight Posted October 2, 2006 Report Share Posted October 2, 2006 hey everyone. well i have an .avi file and i want to burn it into a dvd disk for school. i use nero "make your own dvd" option ( the lates nero version). the problem is that when i do burn it on a dvd disk the video lags pretty bad but the sound goes at a regular speed. how can i fix it? thanks you guys.p.sit gives you a preview of how the video is going to be before you burn it and you can see how the video is going slow and the sound at a normal rate. -pops- Posted October 3, 2006 Report Share Posted October 3, 2006 DVD burning uses a huge amount of your computers resources. Make sure that your system is able to cope, make sure there is nothing else running in the background and turn off any intermittent programs such as timed email checkers or anything else that might interfere.Personally, I don't find Nero the best DVD editing/burning system. The best one I've used for ease of use and friendliness is WinDVD Creator. dadyassa Posted October 3, 2006 Report Share Posted October 3, 2006 when your about to burn the file. it gives you a preview of how its going to be in the dvd in neroI have used Nero loads of times and never see a preview yet.All I have seen is when its capturing to the hard drive there is a preview window then, but that does not show all the frames and looks jerky, also no sound.How is it burning an avi file to a dvd ?Or have you changed it to mpeg2 ?If you have maybe the file change has caused the problem.Like pops said, you need lots of memory space for burning etc.This site has all you need to know about DVD`s etc.Try burning it to a cd, the quality wont be as good but will save a lot of hassle. cozofdeath Posted October 6, 2006 Report Share Posted October 6, 2006 I agree with Scarecrow Man in that I would use something else. Instead of messing with settings trying to sync the video and audio why not use another app thats built especially for the job. I usually use a different app for converting video formats and another for burning. I have also had burning problems with nero though. I've used winavi and dvdsanta for most conversions then RecordNow! to burn. Both programs will convernt a avi to dvd (mpeg2). Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
