-pops-
Ewido is now called AVG Antispyware. The new version is downloadable from here.Note that previous licences for the paid for version are still valid. If you let your 30 day trial run out, you can get a new full version with 30 days of resident shield by removing the old and installing the new version. -pops-
I made a post to this thread yesterday and it doesn't seem to be here. Anyway, what I asked was: Have you asked Grisoft about the problem, andsome?
andsome
I made a post to this thread yesterday and it doesn't seem to be here. Anyway, what I asked was: Have you asked Grisoft about the problem, andsome? No I haven't actually. I already have A squared, SUPERAntispyware, Spyware guard, and now I find that the latest edition of Windows Defender runs fine, and seems to have got over its earlier problems. So at present I feel well protected.P.S. Further to the above, I have just visited the web site and posted a question. I wonder if I will get a reply. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
... I have just visited the web site and posted a question. I wonder if I will get a reply.Which website? http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=81 is still the main forum for ewido software, with the developers (occasionally) responding. In there, I have never heard of a computer completely locking up. When does that happen - when you try a full scan?

When does that happen - when you try a full scan?It wasn't that website. The problem occurs during a full scan. This does not happen with any other program at all. I am not really concerned though as I have plenty of other protection.
