RWG Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 Hi all,Glad there’s someone is out there to help. I have installed Acronis 9 and I’m about to resize my Raid1 array. I have decided to test my restore procedures first on a spare drive. I have imaged the disk to my NAS drive. The Dell "single" 160 GB disk as it appears in Windows has 4 partitions.Partition 1 - Hidden (EISA) ~ ?? GBPartition 2 - C: - NTFS ~108 GBPartition 3 - D; - Backup ~ 37 GBPartition 4 - FAT32 ?? GBFirst I used the clone feature and ended up with a bootable drive but my raid1 doesn’t appear during the boot sequence and, the Intel matrix storage manager can' be accessed. (Raid plug in was not correctly installed) is the error I get.Now I trying a conventional restore from the saved NAS image and it's states C: will take 4 hours. This means the whole process will take 6 hours, is that normal??The other issue is I can run acronis from the CD installed version fine, AC-9 support forms say to make sure you update to the latest build to address CD burning ect.. issues, but once I do and I try to create an image it restarts to create the image and goes to the job completed screen without ever doing the backup.I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times to no avail. If I go back to the CD load all is well. -pops- Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 That does seem a long time.Most computers I've used Acronis on will backup to Acronis Secure Zone in about 20 - 60 minutes, depending on what's on the disk. Restoring from that Secure Zone image take about 30 - 45 minutes.Can I suggest that you have a good read of the manual for Acronis.
