nmg_ire Posted October 10, 2006 Report Share Posted October 10, 2006 Hi, i just got a new latop and loaded Media Player 11 onto it, when i go to use it, mpg & mpeg files wont play?Any ideas on how i can reslove this? -pops- Posted October 10, 2006 Report Share Posted October 10, 2006 Media Player Classic downloads with K-lite and putes iteself as the default player.In Windows, RIGHT click on the folder containing the mpg file and then click on "Open with" and you will be given a selection of programs which will open the file. Click on "Choose program", then "Windows Media Player" and then on "Always do the selected action - - " and your files will then always open in WMP. Scarecrow Man Posted October 11, 2006 Report Share Posted October 11, 2006 You can also open Windows Media Player, go to Tools > Options > File Types, and make sure everything is selected.
