Help! Major computer problems! Need help ASAP!

Ok so my computer started acting weird about two days ago, it couldn't find the wireless connection because some program wasn't activated, so I activated it and it all worked fine, then yesterday I couldn't play any games, and now today it's completley erased my profile! all my stuff that I have is still here, but it's just not working! also any custom things I have like bookmarks, shortcuts etc. are gone! I fear that by tomorrow, it might *gulp* erase all my stuff!

Yes I am behind a firewall, the free zonealarm firewall, I have AVG, and I have 3 viruses with the same name:

Java/byteVerify I put it in the vault, but I can't heal any of the files.

I've got all my stuff backed up on a external hard drive.

It just got really bad, as I just got a blue screen, then my computer restarted. Now any files that I just re-installed are gone, and what makes me even more angry is MY DOCUMENTS FILES ARE GONE! ARGH! PLEASE HELP!

Glad you've got all your stuff on a backup.

Have you tried a repair of Windows?

Put the Windows disk in the computer, reboot and follow the instructions for a repair. If that doesn't work then the best thing would be to restore from the backup.

Did you note the message on the blue screen?

When I had AVG I remember getting the Java/byteVerify virus often. AVG was good in detecting it but it would not remove it. What I did to solve it was, opening the control panel, clicking on the Java icon and on the general tab theres a button to clear the java temp internet files. That will erase the virus with out you having to go through all them directories to do it manually and while in the java settings click settings under the general tab and set the amount of disc space usage to 0 bytes so it can't be put on your computer again. Hope it helps you. You can also turn off java in your browser but some web pages may not display correctly.
