catgate Posted October 31, 2006 Author Report Share Posted October 31, 2006 Call me cynical if you like, but I think it is absolutely amazing how much panic and agitation has been apparently caused in Westminster, in the last two days, by the "predictions" of an economist, when the previous pronouncements (either true or false) by scientists were scarcely noticed (except by the one parent, childless, vegan, CND, lesbian, human rights activists)If it were not for the prospect of raising more money for the treasury, I could imagine it had all been stage managed.
