Partition Recovery

Recommended Posts

So I boot my computer with 4 SATA drives and 1 IDE drive, trying to format the SATA drives (RAID 5) and I see one drive come up... not thinking about the IDE drive I go to delete partition. It asks if I am sure "press L to continue" so I press L.

Oops...

I deleted the partition on the IDE disk; the one with all the data backed up on it.

I have tried Active@ Partition Recovery, which seems to work, but I am unable to recover since it is not freeware.

If anyone knows of a simple partition recovery tool, please let me know B)

Bingo!

Not the easiest interface to deal with, but I managed to get through it and seconds later (well miliseconds... it's that fast) and a reboot and it was running like nothing happened.

As you can see.. it was a matter of 1 hour, 10 minutes for me to:

say I need help

find the program

download it with dial-up

install it

run it

reboot

come back here and post

cant be much quicker than that.. Oh, and I made myself a bagel in there somewhere :)
