I used to be able to get this on the botomn right task bar on my computer - no icon but if I passed the mouse along it would bring up a sub menu with Task manager on it.

No longer. Also although I keep altering back my icons to be shown - they keep disappearing and othrs pop up. Gremlins at work? did a systems restore - still elusive

Currently having brought back ones I want, still havent got hidden ones - thats disappeared too. B)

I use Zone Alarm Firewall and since this went auto update - seems also maybe to be problem as today got a window saying it was initializing - first time ever that one appeared.

I lost superantispyware too - not even working - is now.

Weird happenings.

anyone else having these problems.

But I do want to find Task as now and again some thing is happening inside th HD as if it is scanning and everything slowdown which is why I started to look in the first place.

I did recently download Windows Defender is it that scanning without me knowing ???

sorry for rambling on. :(

I did put in Inspector Startup as I wanted to start up faster and didnt know which programs were needed etc - that seems to be working okay.

Apart from all that - WD said my computer is running properly

also I dont seem to get emails for replies either any more although marked.
